Bug found in Marketing Manager

Folks,
We were setting up a Marketing Campaign here at SierraCRM and found a bug when Selecting a Marketing Query for a new Campaign.
If you create a Marketing Campaign and instead of Creating a new Marketing Query, you choose an existing one - Save2.php threw a fatal error. We found the problem to be in /modules/MKT_Marketing/metadata/detailviewdefs.php

We are sending out a notice to all customers with the updated file.

Bug Found in Cancel Process Event

Process Manager Customers,
One of our customers has discovered a bug in Process Manager that has been fixed as of 5/19/2010. This customer had three processes on Lead Modify. Each of the processes was triggered on status = 'a specific value' and a cancel event where status != 'the same value'. The processes had an immediate stage and delayed stages. As soon as the lead was modified to match the status - the first stage was triggered and was completed - then the delayed stages were queued up to run. However, because Process Manager had two other processes setup with cancel events on different values against the same field - the delayed stages were being removed from the queue.

A fix for this bug will be sent out to all registered owners of Process Manager.

Process Manager 5.5 Released for SugarCRM On Demand

Process Manager 5.5 MYSQL will now work with SugarCRM On Demand.  We have created a new version to work with SugarCRM On Demand.  The current version of Routing Manager 5.5 MYSQL will work with SugarCRM Professional, Enterprise and On Demand.  Please see our store front for more info.

SierraCRM's Process Manager Professional version is not installable under SugarCRM Community Edition. There is a community edtion of Process Manager available here - http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/processmanager/.

Report from SugarConn 2010

Hello Folks,

Just back from the SugarConn conference in San Francisco. A great time was had by all. Over 700 attendees. SierraCRM was a Silver sponsor this year and had a booth in the Solutions Showcase. We were very busy from the opening Reception on Monday all the way through closing on Wednesday.

We had a chance to meet with many of our existing customers and introduce or products and services to new folks.
All or our product demos were well received by those who stopped by. I jotted down quite a few notes of suggested improvements and  enhancement requests and thought I would share these with those who follow our blog. In no particular order here they are:

  • In Process Manager, add the ability to Asssign a Call or Task to a Team (I presume that would be Jason Eggers Security Suite Teams module)
  • Custom Module Support in all our products - but most importantly in Process Manager. This is one of our highest priorities
  • Add Campaign Results to Marketing Manager. If running a campaign that creates a call or task list - show the status of the calls or tasks
  • Have Process Manager be able to notify users of upcoming tasks or calls that are about to be assigned to them
  • Recursive Processes in Process Manager
  • Allow Process Manager to Call another Process as a Process Task
  • Add Task type of Create an Object in Process Manager
  • Add Escalation to Marketing Manager
  • Add Custom Field support in Marketing Manager

Process Manager Professional

The Process Manager, Marketing Manager and Routing Manager Enterprise editions will work with SugarCRM Professional and Enterprise Edition software.  For expample, SierraCRM Process Manager 5.5 will work on SugarCRM 5.5.0.    The Community Edition software we release will be located on the SugarForge website.

SierraCRM has released the community edition of Process Manager 5.5.1 on www.sugarforge.org.  All user guides are included in the zip file.  Please download the zip file and read the UserGuide before installing.
